Tony Cruse was inducted into the Hall of Fame in the special recognition category for his long-time association with the UCO athletic department as a physician.

A quarterback for the Bronchos in 1972 and ’73 before going to medical school and becoming a orthopedic surgeon, Cruse served as UCO’s team doctor from the mid-1980s to 2005. 

He regularly attended home events in a variety of sports, performed thousands of operations required by UCO student-athletes and helped oversee the rehabilitative care of athletes returning from injury.
