Griffin was one of the most dominant pitchers in NAIA history during her storybook career at UCO, earning All-America honors four straight times from 1985-88 while helping the Bronchos to a 108-48 record.
Gladys compiled a 77-27 record during her career and finished with an astounding 0.43 earned run average.  In 716 career innings pitched, Griffin allowed just 328 hits and 44 earned runs while striking out 876 and walking just 142.  She also had career .279 batting average with 29 doubles and 53 RBIs.
Griffin was 23-8 with a 0.39 ERA as a freshman in 1985, 18-6 with an 0.40 ERA in ’86, 17-4 with a 0.31 ERA in 1987 and 19-9 with a .59 ERA as a senior in 1988.
