Dale Alexander was a four-year letterman on the defensive front for the Bronchos from 1972-75, finishing his career as one of the leading tacklers in school history.

He was a back-up nose guard as a freshman in 1972 and then took over as a starter the next three years.  Alexander earned second-team All-Oklahoma College Conference honors in 1973 after racking up an amazing 142 tackles, which ranks fifth on UCO’s single-season list.

Dale followed that in 1974 with a 136-tackle season that is the seventh-best performance at UCO in picking up first-team honors on both the All-Oklahoma College Conference and All-District 9 teams.

Alexander capped his career as a senior in 1975 by piling up 131 tackles -- the 10th best single-season effort in school history -- and earning first-team NAIA All-America honors in addition to making the All-OCC and All-District 9 teams.

Dale finished his career with 418 tackles, which ranks third on UCO’s all-time list.
