Carrie Tucker came to Central Oklahoma in 1982 after spending two years at Northern Oklahoma College. The 5-10 guard was a two-year standout on the hardcourts and was also a three-year mainstay in track and field for the Bronchos.

Tucker averaged 11.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 1982-83 and 14.9 points, 4.1 pounds and 5.2 assists the following season in leading the Lady Bronchos to a two-year record of 44-20.  An All-District Nine pick as a senior, Tucker ranks first and fourth in single-season assists, and sixth an 10th in single-season scoring at UCO. Career-wise, tucker is second in assists and eighth in scoring.

The versatile athlete enjoyed even more success in track, earning NAIA All-America honors twice.  She was the Outstanding Performer at the District Nine Championships three straight years (193-84-85), placing in six events the first year and eight apiece the next two seasons.

Tucker won four individual titles in the 1985 District Nine meet in scoring an amazing 70 points by herself.
