Don Burget enjoyed a tremendous athletic career at Central Oklahoma as a three-year starter in football, basketball and track from 1951-54.

Burget was a first-team All-Oklahoma Intercollegiate Conference pick at wide receiver as a sophomore in 1951 and again as a senior in 1953.  Also a three-year star on the hard courts, Don was a second-team All-OIC selection as a junior and senor when he helped the Bronchos to back-to-back conference championships. 

Burget averaged 14.1 points a game in 1952-53 at UCO went 21-8 and he netted 14.6 points a game in 1953-54 for a 20-7 team. Don ranks 10th in career scoring at UCO with 1,341 points.

Burget capped his career as a three-year track standout by winning the OIC shot put and discus titles and finishing second in the javelin.
