Terry Henry was a ringleader in re-establishing the University of Central Oklahoma as a college power in a sport it has come to dominate.

The Bronchos re-established wrestling in 1972-73 after a 25-year hiatus and Terry became UCO’s first national champion after bringing the sport back when he captured the 126-pound NAIA title in 1974.

Henry came back in 1975 to win a second straight 126-pound championship and finished his two-year career at UCO with a 46-6-1 record.

A  state champion at perennial prep powerhouse Perry, Henry was 25-3-1 as a junior in leading UCO to a runner-up national finish and he went 21-2 as a senior to spark the Bronchos to a third-place team finish.
