A three-sport star at Lawton High School who spent several years in the U.S. Army before coming to UCO in 1998, Claude Davis was a rare two-sport All-American for the Bronchos

He was a first-team All-Lone Star Conference North Division pick in 1998 after collecting 64 tackles with 13 for loss to help the Bronchos go 12-1 in winning their first-ever LSC title.  Davis joined the powerhouse UCO wrestling team in the second semester and went on the win the Midwest Regional crown before finishing fifth in the national tournament to claim All-America honors in his only season on the mat.

Davis racked up 82 tackles with 19 for loss and nine sacks in 1999 to earn LSC North Division Defensive Lineman of the Year accolades while also garnering second-team All-America recognition in leading the Bronchos to a second straight NCAA Division II playoff berth.

In his final season in 2000, Davis collected first-team All-LSC North Division honors for the third time and was a repeat second-team All-American after making 55 tackles with 15 for loss, including nine sacks.  He ranks third on UCO’s career list in tackles for loss (47) and fifth in sacks (22).
