Christy Heavin came to UCO as a true freshman in 1994 and proceeded to start every game (107) of her four-year career, the only player in school history to do that for the women’s basketball team.

Heavin averaged 12.3 points and 5.9 rebounds a games in 1994-95 and was named Lone Star Conference Freshman of the Year, then was a honorable mention All-LSC pick as a sophomore after netting 12.7 points and 7.7 rebounds a contest.

Christy was a second-team All-LSC selection as a junior after averaging 11.6 points and 7.4 rebounds, then garnered first-team recognition as a senior when she averaged 15.6 points and 8.8 rebounds a game while shooting a school-record 58.9 percent from the field.

Heavin finished as the school career record holder for points (1,376), rebounds (796), field goals made (550), field goals attempted (1,001) and blocked shots (100), records that held up until 2009.  She averaged 12.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.9 assist and 1.2 steals a game for her career while shooting 54.9 percent from the field and 77.2 from the free throw line.
