University of Central Oklahoma Athletics

Lowell Thompson is a special recognition inductee for his involvement with the UCO athletic department since the 1950s. A 1950 graduate of UCO, Thompson has helped support Broncho sports teams in a myriad of ways over the past five decades.

An accomplished pilot, he volunteered at his own expense to transport UCO coaches and administrators to various events over the years.  A life member of the UCO athletic association, Lowell has served as UCO Alumni Association board member and president of the UCO Foundation.

Thompson was honored by the UCO Alumni Association as distinguished former student in 1984 and his entire family was honored in 2002 as the UCO Alumni Association family of the year.
