DURANT, Okla. (March 28) –
Central Oklahoma wasted a 14-hit attack and a pair of seven-run leads in dropping a wild 15-14 Lone Star Conference decision to Southeastern Oklahoma here Sunday.

The Bronchos led 7-0 after two innings and 14-7 after the top of the sixth only to see SOSU rally to tie it with six runs in the bottom of the sixth before winning it with a single run in the bottom of the ninth.

UCO dropped three of the four games in the weekend series to fall to 9-17 overall and 7-17 in the league. The Savage Storm improved to 22-10 and 18-8.

The Bronchos scored seven runs in the top of the second to take early control, with Casey Bruns' two-run double the big blow in that inning.

SOSU came back with four runs in the third, but UCO upped the lead to 9-4 in the top of the fourth before the Savage Storm scored three times in the bottom of that frame to make it 9-7.

The Bronchos then upped their lead to seven again with a five-run volley in the top of the sixth, getting a two-run double from Taylor Brown and RBI hits from Jordan Mullin and Ryan Schoonover.

It wasn't enough, however, as SOSU answered with seven runs in its half of the inning to tie it and neither team scored again until the Savage Storm used three hits to win it in the bottom of the ninth.

Mullin went 3-for-4 to lead UCO's 14-hit attack, while Taylor Brown, Tucker Brown, Luke Yost and Arrow Cunningham added two hits apiece.
