Drake Lee Named ABCA All-Region

Senior Designated Hitter Earns Second All-Region Honor

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Central Oklahoma senior Drake Lee was named First Team All-Region by the American Baseball Coaches Association, it was announced Wednesday.
 
Lee was a First Team pick in the Central Region at designated hitter. He earned First Team All-MIAA honors and was also named Second Team All-Region in the Central Region by the National College Baseball Writers Association.
 
A native of Lafayette, Louisiana, Lee led Central Oklahoma to a 27-25 record this season. The Bronchos finished tied for eighth in the MIAA and reached the MIAA Baseball Championship quarterfinals.
 
Lee led the way for UCO this season. In 46 games played, 45 starts, Lee hit .427 with 73 hits in 171 at bats. The left-handed stick pelted 12 doubles and 10 home runs. He racked up 50 RBIs on the year and scored 43 runs. Lee finished the year with a .673 slugging percentage and a .495 on-base percentage.
 
Twice named MIAA Hitter of the Week this season, Lee had a 20-game hit streak that spanned from February 13 – March 21.
