Jaedynn Evans Named All-American For Second Year In A Row

Central Oklahoma Defensive Standout Is Third Player In School History To Be Two-Time All-American

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Jaedynn Evans is a two-time All-American, and the third UCO volleyball player to ever earn the honor a second time.
 
The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced its postseason honors Wednesday and Evans was named Second Team All-American for the second year in a row. The Division II Conference Commissioners Association also announced its postseason honors Wednesday, and the Evans was named First Team All-American after earning Second Team honors from the outlet last season.

Evans played in 27 matches for the Bronchos this season, appearing in 100 sets, and the defensive specialist and libero led the nation in digs per set for the second year in a row. Evans totaled 640 digs, averaging 6.40 digs per set. She was fifth among all NCAA divisions and first in Division II for the second year in a row.
 
Evans' 640 digs this season ranked as the ninth-best in school history. She had 775 last season, which is the third most in one season in UCO history. In two seasons with the Bronchos, Evans finished with 1,415 total digs, the 11th-most for a career in school history.
 
Central Oklahoma went 26-5 this season and finished runner-up in the MIAA. The Bronchos missed out on a conference championship by one game. In two years with Evans leading the back row, UCO went 50-12.

Evans became the seventh All-American in school history in 2022. Barbara Jackson was the first two-time winner (2014 & 2015). Taylor Bevis became the second and is the only three-time All-American (2016, 2017, 2018).

Lacie Allen was the first Broncho to ever earn All-American honors in 2007. Jackson was joined by Katy Davis and Whitney Gifford in 2015. Dominique Lipari earned the honor in 2019.
