Biography
Returning All-American who ranks among the elite players in NCAA Division II as perhaps the premiere libero … Made long-awaited return to the court last fall and quickly became a dominating defensive force in the back row for the Bronchos … Fabulous all-round athlete with great quickness and owns uncanny ability to read the court … Vocal team leader ready for another big season … Should be even better in 2023 and will undoubtedly vie for a variety of postseason honors … Spent freshman season at Division I Iowa, then transferred to UCO in 2020 only to see the season canceled by the coronavirus pandemic ... Proved what she could do during early stages of unofficial season in the spring of 2021 before suffering shoulder injury … Ended up missing the 2021 season after having surgery, then returned with a vengeance last fall.
2022: Put together one of the best defensive seasons in school history while playing in all 117 sets, leading Division II in both total digs (775) and digs per set (.6.62) … Second-team All-America pick by both the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) … Earned first-team All-Central Region honors from both organizations and was also a first-team All-MIAA selection … Named MIAA Defensive Player of the Week four times during the season … Had double-digit digs in all 31 matches, averaging 25.0 a match for the season … Made 20-plus digs 21 times, including one streak of 11 straight … Had nine outings with at least 30 digs, including a stretch of four in a row … Had 36 digs in five-set road win over Washburn … Made season-high 41 digs in MIAA Tournament loss to the Ichabods, which ranks as the seventh-best match in school history … 775 digs ranks as the third-best season total at UCO … Was also named an MIAA Scholar-Athlete.
Iowa: Saw limited action as true freshman for the Hawkeyes in 2019.
High School: Four-time All-Conference and All-District selection at Regina High School, earning honorable mention All-State honors the last two years … Racked up 1,426 digs, 1,267 kills, 146 service aces and 136 blocks during sensational career … Also a track standout for the Regals, finishing as state runner-up in the high jump as a junior … Helped lead club team to a third-place national tournament finish.
