Evans, a junior from Kalona, Iowa, earned the honor in Week 3 and was also named AVCA Division II National Player of the Week. She earned the MIAA award again in Week 5 and now Week 6 for a third time.

"Jaedynn isn't just a great defensive player, she's a great all-around person, leader, and player," UCO head volleyball coach Edgar Miraku said. "The way she approaches everything, from practice to training to gameday, she's the kind of kid you want on your team. We're happy for her to be recognized again."

Last week, Evans led No. 22 Central Oklahoma to a Top 25 win over No. 19 Washburn, and a second league victory over Emporia State. Evans averaged 7.22 digs per set, totaling 65 digs in two matches.

She had 37 digs in a four-set win over Washburn Thursday night and added 28 digs in a five-set win over the Lady Hornets on Friday

Evans is the only player in Division II averaging more than 6.0 digs per set as of Oct. 9. She leads the country at 6.13 digs per set. In 2022, when she was a consensus All-American, Evans averaged 6.22 digs per set.

Central Oklahoma is on the road this week. The Bronchos visit Northwest Missouri on Friday, Oct. 13 and will play at Missouri Western Saturday, Oct. 14 before returning home. UCO hosts Nebraska Kearney and Fort Hays State Oct. 20-21 at Hamilton Field House.
