RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (Oct. 1) -- Central Oklahoma couldn't stay up with hot-hitting Arkansas Tech here Friday night as the Bronchos suffered a three-set loss to the host Golden Sun on the first day of the ATU/Hampton Inn Invitational.
ATU had just nine attack errors in hitting a sizzling .320 and handing UCO just its second loss in the last eight outings, winning 25-19, 25-20, 25-18. The Bronchos fell to 12-5 on the year ,while the Golden Sun improved to 17-3 with their 11th straight win.
UCO returns to action for two matches Saturday, taking on Henderson State and Arkansas-Monticello.
The Bronchos hit just .154 in the contest with 17 attack errors.
Morgan Roy led UCO with nine kills and 12 digs, while Kristen Wilson added eight kills and Alex Richardson seven.
