Biography
Versatile senior standout and team leader primed for a banner final season . . . Stepped into a full-time starting role at outside hitter last year and really prospered after playing a variety of roles her first two years . . . Will be a major force offensively with her leaping ability and strong arm . . . Also a fine defender as both a passer and blocker, with the Bronchos looking for big things from this proven veteran . . . Has played in 90 of 93 matches during her career.
2011: Started all season and was second on the team in both kills (342) and digs (330) while adding 70 total blocks in earning first-team All-Independents Collegiate Athletic Association accolades . . . Registered double-digit kills in 18 of 33 matches and averaged 10.4 a match . . . Had six outings with 15-plus kills and went over the 20 mark twice, collecting a career-high 22 in four-set win over Dallas Baptist and 20 in five-set road win over Southwestern Oklahoma . . . Had a .300-plus attack percentage in eight contests with a pair of no-error outings, hitting .714 with 10 kills in 14 attacks at home rout of SWOSU and .706 with 12 kills in 17 tries in sweep of Oklahoma Panhandle . . . Averaged 10.0 digs a match and had five with 15-plus, highlighted by career-high 20-dig performances against Nova Southeastern and St. Mary's.
2010: Played in 99 sets while appearing in all 31 matches and finished with 75 kills, 209 digs, 32 assists, 22 service aces and 14 blocks . . . Had four matches with five-plus kills, getting a season-high 13 in win over Lubbock Christian . . . Had double-digit digs in eight contests, including a season-high 16 against Incarnate Word . . . Served up a career-best five aces against Western State and had seven other matches with two aces.
2009: Had 196 digs, 55 kills and 21 service aces while playing in 29 matches, . . . Had six matches with 10 or more digs, finishing the season with back-to-back 12-dig outings . . . Saw extended action at outside hitter down the stretch, collecting 38 of her 55 kills in the last six matches . . . Hit .290 with a season-high 14 kills in a season-best 31 attacks in four-set win over Midwestern State in the regular season finale . . . Had five matches with two-plus aces, making a season-high three against Southwestern Oklahoma.
High School: Earned 17 varsity letters during fantastic prep career at McGuinness High School, a school record that younger sister (Mary) broke in 2012 . . . Three-year starter in volleyball, earning state tournament all-tournament honors twice and picking up All-State recognition as a senior . . . Four-year starter in soccer, helping the Irish to one state title and making the All-State team as a senior . . . Also a three-year starter in basketball, a state placer in the 300-meter hurdles and a cross country starter.
Personal: An elementary education major looking to become a teacher and coach . . . Has five siblings (three brothers, two sisters) . . . Names the Oklahoma City Thunder as her top professional team . . . Lists "The Blind Side" Birthdate is Oct. 22, 1990.
