Biography

Powerful senior veteran and returning starter ready to be a major force at outside hitter this season . . . Is an intimidating force at the net with her size and physical presence . . . Has a high contact point when on the attack and owns an explosive arm-swing . . . Has shown great improvement during her career and can dominate matches with her ability to block and attack . . . Spent one year playing basketball at Oklahoma State before transferring in 2008 and sitting out a year . . . Rare two-sport athlete who is set to play a major role on the UCO basketball team again this winter.

2010:  Ranked third on the team in kills with 273 while playing in 30 matches and 94 sets . . . Had double-digit kills in 12 matches, including one string of eight straight late in the season . . . Averaged 15.8 kills a match during that stretch, notching a career-high 21 against Cameron and 19 against Midwestern State in back-to-back outings . . . Hit over .300 seven times, capped by a .583 effort (16 kills and two errors in 24 attacks) against East Central . . . Also had 40 total blocks (seven solo, 33 assisted), making at least two in 11 matches . . . Averaged 12.9 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.6 blocked shots a game as a part-time starter for the basketball team in helping the Bronchos finish 22-10 and advance to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Division II national tournament.

2009:  Appeared in 80 sets and finished fourth on the team in kills with 151 despite missing extended time to injury . . . Had six matches with 10-plus kills and hit over .300 four times . . . Had a domination performance in four-set win over Texas A&M-Kingsville, hitting .438 with a season-high 18 kills and four errors in 32 attacks while adding six total blocks . . . Hit a season-high .556 against Arkansas Tech with 10 kills and no errors in 18 attacks . . . Collected 12 kills and six blocks against East Central . . . Other double-digit kill outings came in consecutive matches against Emporia State (11), Missouri Southern (11) and St. Edward’s (10) . . . Had three-plus blocks in seven matches, including two with six.

2008:  Redshirted after transferring from Oklahoma State.

OSU:  Played in 27 games with the OSU basketball team in 2007-08, helping the Cowgirls to a 27-8 record and national tournament berth . . . Averaged 1.9 points and 2.1 rebounds a game while blocking 16 shots.

High School:  Two-sport star at Edmond Santa Fe High School . . . Led the Wolves to one state volleyball title in addition to a state runner-up finish in hoops . . . Averaged 18.4 points, 12.3 rebounds and 4.0 blocked shots a game as a senior and was named a Super Five selection and the All-Big City Player of the Year by the Oklahoman.

Personal:  A management major looking for a career in the justice system . . . Names the Los Angeles Sparks and Denver Nuggets as her top professional sports teams . . . Birthdate is Jan. 24, 1989.
