UCO Duo Earns All-GNAC Honors

Central Oklahoma Senior Raphaela Sanchez, Junior Carlota Martinez, Named All-Conference

PORTLAND, Ore. – Central Oklahoma had two student-athletes earn all-conference honors as Raphaela Sanchez and Carlota Martinez were both selected to the All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference Rowing Team announced Wednesday.

Sanchez also earned First Team All-GNAC as a freshman in 2023 and now bookends her career with a second honor this season. The Lima, Peru native has been a key figure in both the Varsity 8+ and Varsity 4+ boats for each of her four years with the program.

Martinez is a third-year veteran that helped the Bronchos in both the Varsity 8+ and the Varsity 4+ this season. The Seville, Spain native was a member of the V4+ boat that finished national runner-up in 2025.

Both Sanchez and Martinez were a part of the Varsity 8+ boat that finished fourth at the GNAC Championships earlier this month in California. Sanchez helped the V4+ boat to a win at the Northwest Collegiate Rowing Championships in April.
