Central Tabbed Second In MIAA Poll

Bronchos Receive Three First-Place Votes

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Central Oklahoma was picked second in the MIAA Volleyball Preseason Coaches' Poll announced Friday.
 
UCO received three first-place votes in the poll of 12 league coaches. Nebraska Kearney was picked first with the other nine first-place votes.
 
Edgar Miraku enters his 13th season leading the Bronchos and has a 302-93 career record at UCO.
 
Central Oklahoma went 33-3 last season and reached the national quarterfinals. UCO was 14-2 in the MIAA and finished second in the league standings before winning the postseason tournament championship.
 
Central Oklahoma returns eight letterwinners from 2024, including three starters.
 
The Bronchos open the 2025 season Sept. 5-6 at UT Tyler with four matches in the Patriot Classic. Central Oklahoma hosts Oklahoma Baptist on Tuesday, Sept. 9 in the first home match of the season.
