KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A three-way tie for first and a tie for fourth was sorted out with the official bracket realease for the 2025 MIAA Volleyball Championship that begins next week at the St. Joseph Civic Center.
UCO is the No. 4 seed after finishing the 2025 season with a 26-4 overall record. The Bronchos went 12-4 in the MIAA. Central will play No. 5 seed Emporia State (21-6, 12-4) on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the quarterfinals. The two programs tied in the standings and the tiebreaker went to UCO because of Central's 3-2 reverse sweep win in Emporia on Thursday night.
Nebraska Kearney, Missouri Western, and Washburn all tied for first place and each get regular season champion trophies. All three were one game ahead of UCO and Emporia.

UCO went 12-4 in league play this season. The Bronchos lost to Central Missouri and Missouri Western in Edmond in October. The Bronchos lost at Nebraska Kearney, also in October, and at Washburn on Friday night.
In 2024, Central Oklahoma was the No. 3 seed in the MIAA Volleyball Championship and won three games in as many days to win the postseason tournament for the first time in school history.
The winner of the league's championship earns an automatic bid to the national tournament in December. The NCAA Central Regional is made up of three conference champions and five at-large bids from the MIAA, Northern Sun, and Great American Conference.
