UCO Seventh Again Heading Into Final Week Of Season

Bronchos Face Two Top 25 Teams To Close Out Regular Season In Kansas

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Central Oklahoma is No. 7 in the AVCA Top 25 coaches' poll for the fourth consecutive week it was announced Monday.
 
UCO is 25-3 this season and enters the final week of the 2025 regular season with two ranked opponents left on the schedule. The Bronchos visit No. 24 Emporia State Thursday at 6 p.m. and will play at No. 8 Washburn Friday at 6 p.m.
 
The Bronchos have been seventh or better in the AVCA Top 25 since the being ranked there in the preseason poll. UCO rose to No. 1 in the country entering October and dropped from fourth to seventh four weeks ago.
 
Following this weekend's games in Kansas, Central Oklahoma will head to St. Joseph, Missouri for the 2025 MIAA Volleyball Championship. The Bronchos are currently in a four-way tie for second place. No. 16 Missouri Western holds first place this week at 12-2, while UCO, Emporia, Washburn, and Nebraska Kearney are all 11-3 in league play.
 
The MIAA's eight-team postseason tournament begins Thursday, Nov. 20 with four quarterfinal matchups. The semifinals are set for Friday, Nov. 21 and the championship match is Saturday, Nov. 22. UCO won the tournament last season for the first time since joining the league in 2012.
