LEXINGTON, Ky. – Central Oklahoma is ranked No. 7 in the country in this week's AVCA/Taraflex Top 25 announced Monday.
The Bronchos are 19-3 this season and went 1-1 last week with a loss at previously ranked No. 5 Nebraska Kearney, which moved up to No. 4 this week. Tampa remained No. 1 in the country and Washburn (second) and Barry (third) also remained the same. UNK moved up to fourth where the Bronchos were a week ago. Point Loma and Wayne State also moved up one spot to fifth and sixth in front of Central.
With three MIAA teams in the top seven, two more are at the end of the list. Missouri Western is ranked No. 24 and Emporia State is ranked No. 25 this week. Central Missouri is also receiving votes just outside the national rankings.
Central Oklahoma has two matches this week and both are against Arkansas Fort Smith. The Bronchos will play at UAFS on Wednesday at 6 p.m. and host the Lions on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Hamilton Field House.
