"We have a lot of newcomers this year and we're ready to get started and see how the team comes together," UCO head baseball coach John Martin said. "The preseason poll looks just like how the standings looked at the end of last year and we're just focused on getting off to a good start this year."

Martin is in his ninth season leading the Central Oklahoma baseball program and he has a 245-148-1 record since 2016. Martin led the Bronchos to three straight NCAA Division II regional appearances and the 2018 MIAA Baseball title.

UCO, which was one point out of fourth in the preseason poll, begins the 2024 season in two weeks. The Bronchos are hosting their annual Edmond First Pitch Classic Feb. 1-4 at Wendell Simmons Field. Central is hosting East Central, Oklahoma Baptist, and New Mexico Highlands in the four-day event.

Central returns 16 from last year's squad, including 12 that saw action. The Bronchos posted a 32-19 record and finished fifth in the MIAA.
