Bronchos Downed In Claremore

Central Oklahoma Loses 10-0 In Eight-Inning Run-Rule

CLAREMORE, Okla. – Central Oklahoma lost 10-0 in eight innings Tuesday at Rogers State in MIAA play.
 
The Bronchos are now 16-16 overall on the season with a 7-11 record in the MIAA. Central has dropped the league series with RSU and will wrap up the month-long three-game midweek series April 14 in Edmond.
 
UCO only managed four hits in Tuesday's game. Drake Lee and Carson Taylor had back-to-back two-out singles in the fourth inning, but the Bronchos couldn't keep a rally going. Trevor Rowe also had a single in the fifth but a double play followed. Colton Ayres' single in the sixth was the final hit of the game.
 
The Bronchos got two innings out of starter Bron Farr, who took the loss after giving up four runs on four hits and three walks. Gage Norvell pitched 1 1/3 innings and gave up two runs on two hits and a walk. Michael Lopez threw 3 1/3 and gave up three runs on four hits and three walks. Caden Hinther pitched one inning and gave up one run on two hits.
 
Central Oklahoma continues a week-long road trip with its three-game series at Missouri Southern this weekend. The Bronchos play Thursday, Friday, and Saturday ahead of Easter Sunday. UCO returns home April 7 to face Northeastern State.
