Volleyball Continues Academic Award Streak

Central Oklahoma Earns USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Central Oklahoma volleyball team received for the 10th consecutive year the United States Marine Corps American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award, it was announced Thursday.

Central Oklahoma earned the team honor for its efforts in the classroom. The USMC/AVCA honors teams which carry a 3.30 grade point average for the previous school year.

UCO posted a 24-7 record in 2022 and went 14-6 in the MIAA, which was tied for third in the league standings and qualified the Bronchos for the MIAA Volleyball Championship.

Central Oklahoma begins the 2023 season September 1 at the Midwestern State Invitational. The Bronchos will make their home debut at Hamilton Field House September 12 against Oklahoma Baptist.
