The NCAA releases three regional rankings with the first an alphabetical list of teams in contention. Next Wednesday, an official ranking of the best teams in the country will be released. The NCAA will announce one more on Nov. 15 and the 2023 NCAA Division II Volleyball Championship Selection Show is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 20.

Three conferences make up the Central Region. The MIAA, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), and the Great American Conference (GAC) make up 38 teams in the region. The winner of each conference's postseason tournament earns an automatic qualification into the national tournament and five more at-large selections will also make the cut.

The Central Regional is scheduled for Nov. 30 – Dec. 2 at a site to be determined. The highest seed in the regional rankings will host the eight-team tourney. Then eight regional winners advance to the national finals in Moon Township, Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh) Dec. 7-9 where a national champion will be crowned.

Central Oklahoma is ranked No. 17 in the country in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25. The Bronchos are on the road this weekend to take on Washburn and Emporia State. UCO hosts Missouri Western and Northwest Missouri next week at Hamilton Field House to wrap up the regular season.

The 2023 MIAA Volleyball Championship is scheduled for Nov. 16-18 in St. Joseph, Missouri. The Bronchos have clinched a spot in the tournament already and will work through the next four matches to determine seeding for the eight-team postseason championship.
