Evans, Huck Earn AVCA All-Region Recognition

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Nov. 23) – Central Oklahoma volleyball standouts Jaedynn Evans and Sydney Huck received more postseason recognition Wednesday, this time from the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
 
Evans was named a first-team pick on the All-Central Region Team, while Huck was selected Central Region Freshman of the Year. Evans moves on to the All-America ballot, with that team to be announced next week.
 
The twosome were first-team selections on the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (CCA) All-Central Region Team that came out last week.
 
A junior libero from Kalona, Iowa, Evans put together a sensational season as Division II's top back-row defender. She collected 30-plus digs in nine matches with a high of 41 and leads the nation in both total digs (775) and digs per set (6.62).
 
Huck was one of the top offensive forces in Division II this season. The rookie from McKinney, Texas ranks among the national leaders in both total kills (440) and kills per set (3.96) and had 11 matches with 20-plus kills.
 
The duo led Central Oklahoma to a 24-7 record this year, with the Bronchos ranked No. 23 in the final regular-season rankings.
