Jaedynn Evans Named MIAA Defensive Player of the Week, Again

UCO Libero Has Won The Award Four Times in Six Weeks

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Central Oklahoma standout libero Jaedynn Evans was named MIAA Defensive Athlete of the Week for the fourth time this season, the league announced Monday.

Evans, a sophomore from Kalona, Iowa, has picked up this award in Week 2, 3, 5, and 6.
 
Evans helped lead UCO to two wins in three league road matches last week, including an upset of No. 18-ranked Central Missouri. The sophomore libero totaled 83 digs for the week, averaging 6.92 per set, while adding seven service aces.
 
Evans had 29 digs in the four-set win over UCM.
 
She currently leads the country in digs per set (6.60) and total digs (475).
 
Central Oklahoma is home for a pair of matches this week. The Bronchos welcome Newman on Tuesday at 6 p.m. before hosting Northwest Missouri on Friday at the same time in Hamilton Field House.
