UCO Falls To Jennies

EDMOND (March 5) -- Central Oklahoma fell in straight sets to Central Missouri in spring Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association volleyball action Friday night at Hamilton Field House.

The Jennies prevailed by 25-23, 25-17, 25-15 margins. UCO is back on the court Saturday at 3 p.m. against Emporia State.

Courtney Lane led the Bronchos with 12 kills and a .270 attack percentage. Alycia Bradley-Adriano added eight kills and Lauren Jenkins five.

UCO used a 9-2 run to overcome an early 5-1 deficit in the first set in taking a 10-7 lead. The Bronchos were up 22-20 after a Jenkins kill, but UCM scored five of the set's final six points to take the win.

The Jennies went in front for good at 10-9 in the second set and then never trailed in the third to close out the match.
