Bronchos Host Arkansas Tech Tuesday

No. 23-ranked Central Oklahoma opens a six-game homestand Tuesday when the Bronchos host Arkansas Tech in a non-conference doubleheader that starts at 1 p.m.

UCO is 14-6 on the season after splitting four games in the Hy-Vee Classic in Emporia, Kan. over the weekend. The Golden Sun of the Great American Conference are 8-7.

"It will be good to be back home on our own field," said head coach Cody White, whose team is 8-0 at Broncho Field. "Arkansas Tech has a really strong program and we have to be prepared. There's a lot of things we need to clean up, but I like our approach and they way our players are competing."

The Bronchos return to Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association play this weekend with back-to-back home doubleheaders. UCO, 5-1 in the league, takes on Lincoln at 2 p.m. Friday and Central Missouri at noon Saturday.

SERIES WITH ATU: Central and ATU have played just five times in a series that the Bronchos lead 3-2, with four of those five games coming during the 2019 season.
