Rylee Lemos Earns All-American Honors

Central Oklahoma Senior Named To Pair of All-American Teams

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Central Oklahoma senior outfielder Rylee Lemos represented the Bronchos on a pair of All-American Teams announced Wednesday.
 
The South Coffeyville, Oklahoma native was named Second Team All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association and was a First Team All-American pick by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association.
 
Lemos has collected a handful of honors this spring. The veteran and UCO record holder was named First Team All-MIAA, the MIAA Player of the Year & Defensive Player of the Year and was also on the MIAA Gold Glove Team. At the regional level, Lemos was named D2CCA Central Region Player of the Year in addition to a First Team All-Region selection. She also earned First Team All-Region by the NFCA.
 
This is the second year in a row Lemos has been named All-American. She earned Second Team All-American by the NFCA last year and was a Third Team All-American pick by the D2CCA.
 
In her final season at Central, Lemos starred from start to finish. She set the career triples record at UCO in early February and later set the career runs scored record as well.
 
Lemos hit .404 this year with a .798 slugging percentage and an even .500 on-base percentage. Lemos had 80 hits in 198 at bats, with 19 doubles, 15 home runs, and seven triples. She batted in 72 runs and scored 67 herself. Lemos also went 16-for-20 stealing bases on the season.
 
Central Oklahoma went 46-16 this season and finished second in the MIAA. The Bronchos were awarded an at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Softball Championship and won the Central Region II tournament advancing to the Super Regional. UCO's season ended there in Game 3.
