Biography

Sophomore pitcher ready to once again fill a major role in the circle for the Bronchos … Has been steady, consistent force the past two years and rates among the best in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association … Left-handed hurler with pin-point control who doesn’t get rattled and will see action as both a starter and reliever … Took over main role early as a freshman in 2020, retaining a year of eligibility when international health crisis shut the season down early … Came back even better last year and should continue that improvement trend in 2022.
 
2021: Honorable mention All-MIAA choice after going 19-6 with 2.87 earned run average … Win total was second-best in the league and ranks 10th on Central’s single-season list … Was also fifth in the conference in innings pitched with 144.0 and walked only 30 batters while striking out 77 … Appeared in 30 games with 25 starts and tossed 12 complete games with four shutouts … Went perfect 11-0 with 2.09 ERA and eight complete games in MIAA action … Threw one-hit gem with season-high eight strikeouts in 4-0 win over Missouri Western … Tossed three-hit shutouts against Northeastern State and Northwest Missouri and allowed two hits in five-inning run-rule blanking of Lincoln … Walked just two batters in 19 combined innings in those three games … Went the distance in 2-1 eight-inning victory over Central Missouri, allowing five hits.

2020: Appeared in 15 games with nine starts during shortened season, finishing 6-4 with 1.78 ERA … Tossed three complete games and allowed just nine walks in 70.2 innings while striking out 44 … Best outing came in final appearance, a complete-game four-hitter in 5-1 win over No. 11-ranked Rogers State … Also went the distance in 5-3 victory over St. Edward’s, allowing six hits … Fanned season-high eight while throwing five shutout innings in relief to earn win over Colorado-Colorado Springs.

High School: Enjoyed superb career at Chandler High School, finishing with 465 strikeouts and a 1.10 ERA … Two-time conference MVP and an All-State pick as a senior after fanning 236 and finishing with 0.90 ERA … Led the Lions to three state championships, two in slow-pitch and one in fast-pitch.
