UCO Sweeps Missouri Southern

EDMOND – The University of Central Oklahoma volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 win over Missouri Southern in a spring volleyball matchup at Hamilton Field House.

Central won 25-13, 25-21, 25-15 in the sweep.

"We did a good job of competing today," UCO head coach Edgar Miraku said. "There were some things we need to keep working on and we did a little of that today. We just need to keep improving."

Lauren Jenkins (13), Courtney Lane (12), and Amanda Desch (10) all had double-digit kills to lead the offense, with Desch's 32 assists pacing the effort. Desch also had 20 digs for a triple-double.

Jaedynn Evans added 17 digs to help the defensive effort.

Central Oklahoma is off till next Friday, when the Bronchos take on Central Missouri in Warrensburg.
