MIAA Announces Spring Volleyball Plan

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The MIAA announced Tuesday it has finalized plans for a spring 2021 volleyball season.

The University of Central Oklahoma will be allowed to compete in an eight-match schedule this spring against teams in their division within the MIAA, with the division based on geographical location. The schedule will begin the week of February 22 and conclude the week of April 11.

The MIAA also announced along with the eight-match MIAA schedule, institutions will be permitted to schedule non-conference matches as well up to the NCAA maximum of 20 contests. The 2021 spring volleyball season will culminate with all teams being invited to a postseason tournament to be held on April 16-17.

The complete schedule, along with more details on the volleyball postseason invitational will be announced at a later date. No formal MIAA Champion will be recognized for the 2020-21 academic year in either sport.
