WICHITA, Kan. (Sept. 20) --
Morgan Roy collected 14 kills and scored the last two points for Central Oklahoma in sparking the Bronchos to a tough three-set sweep of Newman here Tuesday night.

UCO went the distance in all three sets before pulling out 25-21, 25-23, 25-23 victories in winning its second straight match and improving to 7-6 on the year.  The Bronchos return home Friday to host Oklahoma City at 7 p.m.

"It was a hard-fought match, but we made some big plays at the end of each set and came out with a good win," UCO coach Jeff Boyland said.  "It's always good to go on the road and win and we look forward to being home Friday against a tough OCU team."

Roy lifted the Bronchos to the narrow third-set win, breaking a 23-all tie with her 14th kill of the night before teaming with Juliette Smith for a block that ended the set and handed UCO the sweep.

The junior outside hitter finished with a blistering .367 attack percentage, committing just three errors  in 30 attacks while finishing with the match-high 14 kills.

Alex Richardson added 12 kills, with Jordan Jacobs chipping in eight kills, Sam Cool seven and Tate Hardaker 18 digs.  The Bronchos hit a solid .268 as a team.
