LAREDO, Texas (Sept. 16) --
Three different players scored and Central Oklahoma rolled over Texas A&M International 3-1 for its third straight win here late Friday night.

UCO dominated the contest from start to finish on a hot and humid night, outshooting the Dustdevils 18-5 and pitching a shutout until the final two minutes.

The Bronchos evened their record at 3-3 and move on to Austin Sunday to take on unbeaten and No. 2-ranked St. Edward's.

“We didn't play great, but it was a good win on the road to keep our momentum going,” head coach Mike Cook said.  “We need to get ready for a tough game on Sunday and we're looking forward to that challenge.”

UCO got goals from Stephanie Fleig, Ashton Morris and Brittni Walker in the victory, with TAMI avoiding a shutout on a goal with just 1:49 left to play.

Fleig put the Bronchos on top 1-0 just 14:27 into the game with a long shot that went over the goalkeeper's head into the left corner of the net.

It stayed that way until the 56th minute when Morris scored from close range after taking a cross from Lizzie Merritt and Walker made it 3-0 at 70:14 on a shot from 12 yards out.

It was the 29th career goal for Morris, moving her into a tie for fourth on UCO's all-time list, and she also moved into a tie for fifth in career scoring with 72 points.
