Rebekah George, Lauren Piper Honored by CSC For Academics

Central Oklahoma Duo Led Bronchos On and Off The Pitch

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Central Oklahoma soccer standouts Rebekah George and Lauren Piper were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Teams announced Tuesday.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

George is a graduate student at Central Oklahoma and has a 4.0 GPA in the nursing program. She brought a 3.91 GPA from her undergraduate career to UCO. Piper is a senior with a 4.0 GPA in the kinesiology program. She was also recognized as the MIAA A-Game Scholar-Athlete, given to the student-athlete at the MIAA Women's Soccer Championship with the highest GPA.

On the field, George is a two-time All-MIAA performer. She led the team this season with 13 points, scoring three goals while dishing out seven assists. Piper scored two goals herself and also dished out two assists for six total points.

The duo led Central Oklahoma to the MIAA Championship game for the second year in a row.
