STEPHENVILLE, Texas (April 10) – Central Oklahoma used a big sixth-inning rally to claim an 11-10 first-game win before Tarleton State came back to take the nightcap by the same score as the two teams split a Lone Star Conference doubleheader here Friday night.
The Bronchos scored seven runs in the sixth inning of the opener to take an 11-6 lead and held on for that win, with the Texans scoring four runs in the bottom of the ninth to force extra innings and then answering UCO's two-run 10th with three runs of their own to pull out the second-game victory.
The two teams meet for another twinbill Saturday at 1 p.m. The Bronchos are now 20-23 on the year and 16-18 in the league, while Tarleton is 19-22-1 and 16-17-1.
