2008:  Played in 43 games with 23 starts, finishing with a .274 average . . . Started 20 games at first base and three at designated hitter and had three triples and a double while driving in 13 runs . . . Had five multi-hit games . . . Ripped a key three-run triple in 9-8 win over Indianapolis . . . Made just two errors in 218 fielding chances and had five games with 10-plus putouts.

Juco:  Played two years at Cowley County (Kan.) Community College, batting .381 as a sophomore.

High School:  Baseball-football standout at Guthrie High School . . . Earned All-State honors at shortstop and quarterback for the Bluejays.

Personal:  A business administration major . . . Grandfather (Danny Hodge) is one of the most legendary sports figures in state history, an undefeated three-time national wrestling champion at Oklahoma who won a silver medal in the 1956 Olympics . . . Enjoys hunting, fishing and golf as his main hobbies . . . Lists Chipper Jones as his favorite athlete . . . Birthdate is June 30, 1986.
