LAWTON, Okla. (March 20) –
Central Oklahoma dropped a Lone Star Conference doubleheader to Cameron here Friday afternoon, falling 3-0 and 17-7.

The Bronchos managed just eight hits in the two games, getting three in the first-game shutout and five in the second-game run-rule defeat.  UCO, which fell to 14-15 overall and 11-11 in the LSC with the losses, hosts the Aggies for a 1 p.m. twinbill Saturday.

Brian Murphy took the tough loss in the opener despite giving up just five hits in a complete-game outing, with Cameron scoring all three of its runs in the fourth on two singles and a three-run home run.

UCO jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning of the nightcap as Ryan Schoonover led off with a walk and Andrew Foshee blasted a two-run homer one out later.  The lead didn't last long, however, as the Aggies scored five runs in the second and four in the third.

The Bronchos tried to get back in it in the fourth with a two-run homer by Brent Hodge that made it 9-4, but Cameron answered back with two runs in its half of the inning and extended its lead to 12-4 in the fifth.

UCO scored its final runs in the top of the sixth on Schoonover's three-run homer that made it 12-7, with the Aggies getting one in that frame and four in the seventh to end the game early.
