Bronchos Host SNU Wednesday Night

Central Oklahoma Kicks Off At 7 p.m. At Tom Thompson Field

EDMOND – Central Oklahoma hosts Southern Nazarene in a non-conference match Wednesday night at Tom Thompson Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

UCO is 1-3 on the season. The Bronchos dropped to home games before splitting two road games last week. Southern Nazarene is 0-2-1 this season.

Central is 8-0 all-time against SNU, including a 6-0 record in Edmond.

"We've played well in all four games despite our record," UCO head women's soccer coach Amel Muhamedagic said. "We're getting chances but not finishing. If we continue to get chances we're going to be okay."

Central Oklahoma has put up 58 shots in four games with 24 shots on goal, applying pressure on the defense for 90 minutes. UCO has three goals scored this season, two from sophomore defender Sophia Gaskins on set pieces and one from senior midfielder Emma Nicholas.

Defensively, UCO is allowing 1.5 goals per game. The Bronchos have conceded six total goals in four games. Teams have put up 34 shots against UCO and opponents have put 12 of those shots on target.

Southern Nazarene is led by former UCO assistant Jovan Petrovic. The Crimson Storm have scored just one goal in three games and taken 10 total shots, with four of those on goal. SNU's defense has conceded five goals with opponents putting 61 shots up and 24 shots on target.

Central Oklahoma will wrap up its non-conference schedule with a trip to Weatherford, Oklahoma on Saturday. UCO plays at Southwestern Oklahoma State at 11 a.m. The Bronchos open MIAA play next weekend in St. Joseph, Missouri.
