LEXINGTON, Ky. – Central Oklahoma continues to receive votes in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 announced Monday.
UCO, which began the season at No. 12, dropped out of the Top 25 for the first time since 2023 last week. But Central is once again receiving votes this week just outside the national rankings.
The Bronchos went 2-0 last week with two MIAA wins at Hamilton Field House in Edmond. UCO beat Missouri Southern 3-0 and Central Missouri 3-1. UCM is also receiving votes in the AVCA poll.
Nebraska Kearney tops six MIAA teams in the mix. The Lopers are 15-1 and No. 6 in the country. Missouri Western (13-1) is No. 8 and Washburn (14-3) is No. 14 this week. Emporia State, with a 14-2 record, is at No. 17 in the poll.
Central Oklahoma's next two matches are both against Newman. The Bronchos host the first contest Friday at 6 p.m. in Edmond. UCO travels to Wichita, Kansas for the second contest on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m.
