ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Central Oklahoma is scheduled to begin MIAA play this weekend at Missouri Western and the schools have adjusted the schedule due to expected winter weather.
The series will now begin Thursday, Feb. 26 at 3 p.m., with the second game Friday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m., and the series finale Saturday, Feb. 28 at 1 p.m. The one-day shift ahead on the calendar avoids expected winter weather on Sunday.
Central Oklahoma is 9-4 this season and plays its final non-conference game Tuesday afternoon against Southeastern Oklahoma State. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Wendell Simmons Field in Edmond.
Missouri Western is 5-8 this season and 0-3 in the MIAA. The Griffons are 5-2 at home on the year.
Central and Mo. West have played three consecutive seasons in Edmond. UCO swept the series in 2023, MWSU won 2 of 3 in 2024, and the Bronchos won 2 of 3 last season. The last time the teams played in St. Joseph was 2022 and the Griffons won 2 of 3 that season.
UCO owns a 20-19 lead in the series since joining the MIAA before the 2013 season.
