UCO In Arkansas For Hardscrabble Invitational

Central Oklahoma Playing 54 Holes Monday & Tuesday In Fort Smith

FORT SMITH, Ark. – Central Oklahoma continues its Spring season Monday and Tuesday with the Hardscrabble Invitational, hosted by the University of Arkansas Fort Smith at Hardscrabble Country Club.

UCO's lineup this week includes Estela Castillo, Scarlet Sturch, MaKaylee Cowan, Jirasuda Khunarak, and Drew Faires. The Bronchos are scheduled to tee off at 8:30 a.m. on holes 4-5-6. UCO will play 36 holes on Monday, with 18 more scheduled for Tuesday.

Castillo takes a 78.2 scoring average into this week's tournament, with one top 10 finish this season. Sturch is shooting a 78.3 this season with a pair of top 20 finishes. The sophomore duo has played in all 16 rounds of golf for the Bronchos this season.

Cowan, also a sophomore, has played in five events this season and brings a 78.7 scoring average into this week's tournament. Khunarak, a fifth-year senior, has played in all seven events and has a team-best 77.4 scoring average. Faires has played in 3 of 7 events this season and has an even 80.0 scoring average.

Central Oklahoma has one more tournament on the regular season schedule, April 7-8 at Shangri-La. The Bronchos will compete in the 2025 MIAA Women's Golf Championships April 13-15 in Nebraska before hosting the NCAA Central Region Championships May 5-7 at KickingBird Golf Club in Edmond.
