Central Finishes Regional Preview Third

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Central Oklahoma wrapped up its fall season with a third-place finish in the Regional Preview that concluded Tuesday afternoon at St. Joseph Country Club.

UCO shot a 36-hole 628. Southwestern Oklahoma State won the team title with a 616, Harding was one shot in front of UCO with a 627, and Arkansas Fort Smith (630) and Rogers State (635) rounded out the top five.

Grace Hall led UCO with a third-place finish individually. The freshman from Austin, Texas shot an 8-over-par 152, with rounds of 77 and 75. Estela Castillo finished eighth with an 11-over 155, shooting rounds of 73 and 82.

MaKaylee Cowan and Layne Ailshie tied for 27th with 161s this week. Both shot a 9-over 81 on Monday and both shot an 8-over 80 on Tuesday.

Scarlet Sturch finished 50th with a 36-hole 165, shooting an 80 on Monday and an 85 on Tuesday.

Central Oklahoma is off for the rest of the fall. The Bronchos return in February and will host in Houston, Texas the Southern Invite. UCO plays five tournaments in the spring semester before the MIAA Women's Golf Championships in April.
