Grace Hall Named MIAA Women's Golf co-Athlete of the Week

Central Oklahoma Freshman Led UCO To Third-Place Team Finish

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Central Oklahoma freshman Grace Hall was named MIAA Women's Golf co-Athlete of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.
 
Hall finished tied for third individually at the MWSU Holiday Inn Express Invitational at St. Joseph Country Club this week. She shot an 8-over-par 152 with rounds of 77 and 75. Rogers State's Lou Fourdan shared the weekly award with Hall after shooting a 152 (78-74) at this week's Regional Preview.
 
A freshman from Austin, Texas, Hall shot a 5-over 77 on Monday with two birdies in the round. The got her first one on the Par 3 No. 13 and a second birdie on the Par 4 No. 2 at SJCC. Hall sank five birdie putts on the week. On Tuesday, she had three birdies all on Par 5s. She made her first on No. 6, her second on No. 10, and a third on No. 17.
 
Central Oklahoma wrapped up the fall semester with the Regional Preview this week. Missouri Western will host the NCAA Division II Central Region Championships in May. Hall finished in the Top 16 in all four events.
 
She opened the season with a 144 (71-73) at the DBU Classic in Corinth, Texas to finish 10th in her collegiate debut. In Edmond, Hall finished 14th at the Grace Shin Invitational presented by Visit Edmond with a 146 (68-78). She finished 16th at The Mule in Warrensburg, Missouri, the site of the MIAA Championship in April, where she shot a 147 (71-76).
 
Hall has a 73.6 scoring average through eight rounds this season. The Bronchos return to the course Feb. 16-17 in Spring, Texas the Southern Invite.
