Sai Brookins-Fleming, Genevieve Young, Lead UCO At Pitt State

PITTSBURG, Kan. – Sai Brookins-Fleming raced to a apir of Top 10 finishes and Genevieve Young also earned one Top 10 mark to lead Central Oklahoma at Pittsburg State's Russ Jewett Invitational this weekend.

The Bronchos began the two-day meet Friday and wrapped up on Saturday.

Mikayla Stephenson ran the 60-meter dash and finished 46th with a time of 8.10 seconds.

Sai Brookins-Fleming finished ninth in the 200m with a time of season-best 25.25 seconds. Kerrigan Huynh finished 24th with a time of 26.08 seconds. Stephenson was 42nd (26.88) and Reta Ojene was 47th (27.24).

Brookins-Fleming earned a sixth-place finish in the 400m, crossing the line in 56.90 seconds for another season-best performance. Huynh finished 19th with a time of 57.98 seconds. Genevieve Young (59.03) finished 28th and Deriayah Lee (1:00.15) finished 35th.

Young raced to a sixth-place finish in the 600-yard race, posting a 1:26.74 in the discipline. Faith Millner also competed and finished 17th with a time of 1:32.92.

Asia Williams competed in the Mile and finished 52nd with a time of 5:47.04. In the 5,000 meters, Williams finished 28th with a time of 18:43.13. Ariane Williams also competed and finished 44th with at time of 21:42.57.

Lee also competed in the 60-meter hurdles and finished 24th with a time of 9.07 seconds.

Ojene, Millner, Stephenson, and Maddie Gaxiola all competed in the 4x400 relay and the team finished 16th with a time of 4:09.77.

Mattison Thetford and Talyn Been both competed in the pole vault, but neither recorded a clear height.

Central Oklahoma is done with its regular season for Indoor. The Bronchos now head to Maryville, Missouri for the 2025 MIAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in two weeks.
