Bronchos Host Angelo State, Harding

Central Oklahoma Continues Early Non-Conference Homestand

EDMOND – Central Oklahoma continues an early season homestand with a pair of non-conference matches this weekend against Angelo State and Harding.
 
Weather has forced the matches indoors. UCO will host No. 16 Angelo State Friday at 4 p.m. at Edmond Racquet Club, and Harding Saturday at 5 p.m. at Edmond Center Court. A third match against Augustana has been canceled.
 
UCO is 1-0 on the new season. The Bronchos beat Arkansas Tech 5-1 last weekend in the 2025 season opener.
 
Central Oklahoma got doubles wins from Anika Ouwejan and Ayaka Koga at No. 2, and Karyna Yurchenko and Hui Soo at the No. 3 spot. Koga, Ouwejan, Yurchenko, and Nefeli Zafeiri all won singles matches in the season opener.
 
Angelo is 3-0 this season with all three matches ending 6-1. The Rambelles won over Seward County and Collin County as well as MIAA rival Northeastern State.
 
Harding, which will play Midwestern State Friday in Stillwater, is 3-1 this season. The Bison lost to McNeese State before wins over Missouri State, Drury, and Southwest Baptist.
 
Central Oklahoma is scheduled to hit the road next weekend and take on Ouachita Baptist and Henderson State Friday and Saturday in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
