EDMOND - Central Oklahoma rolled through Emporia State 6-1 Friday morning at Edmond Racquet Club.
UCO advanced to 10-2 on the season and is now 2-0 in MIAAÂ play.
Mei Hasegawa and
Pete Komada started doubles action with a 6-3 win.
Anika Ouwejan and
Ayaka Koga clinched the doubles point winning 6-4.
Karyna Yurchenko and
Hui Soo kept the momentum going with a 6-2 victory heading into singles matches.
In singles action, Hasegawa got the first win (6-1, 6-4), and Komada earned another point for the Bronchos winning 6-3, 6-4.
Ouwejan opened with a 0-6 loss in the first set but answered 6-1, 6-4 to improve UCO's lead to 4-0.
On the backend, Koga suffered a 4-6, 4-6 loss. Yurchenko earned another point with a solid win (6-2, 6-1).
Soo got a 6-4, 6-4 victory to finish out the win for the Bronchos.
Central Oklahoma will return to their home court Saturday to face No. 12 Washburn.
