Rebekah George Named CSC Academic All-American

Central Oklahoma Midfielder Honored For Work In Classroom And On Field

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Central Oklahoma midfielder Rebekah George was named Academic All-American Tuesday by the College Sports Communicators.

George, from Choctaw, Oklahoma, previously earned CSC All-District following the season. She is a nursing student with a 3.91 grade point average in her undergraduate career and a 4.00 GPA in her graduate studies.

"We're really proud of Rebekah," UCO head women's soccer coach Amel Muhamedagic said. "She's been such a great leader on the field for us and she is off the field too. She does everything the right way and she excels in everything she does. We're happy that she is being recognized for her achievements."

The 2025-26 Academic All-American Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

George is a two-time All-MIAA selection and a two-time All-Region pick for her work on the field. She now can add Academic All-American to the resume.

In two seasons at Central, George scored 13 goals and dished out 10 assists for 36 total points. She led the Bronchos to the national tournament in her first year and appearances in the 2024 and 2025 MIAA Women's Soccer Championship final.
